Confessions of a researchaholic

The mood of this motion graphics was inspired by this even though I decided not add the sound track in the end.

I have seen a few cases that when the weather was cold in San Francisco, street folks stationed their bodies on top of manhole covers for warmth.

This motion drawing is inspired by a girl holding a bundle of balloons at the end of the circus show that I saw the day before.
The animation export gave me a little bit of unexpected trouble due to very high spatial resolution (4K+) caused by importing an earlier vector drawing from Ai.

A few years back while walking to work from San Jose Diridon station I saw a guy sitting on the ground jerking his head with eyes and mouth wide open, in some drug-induced trance.
This is an attempt to depict what I saw that day.

I visited the de Young Museum for the first time to see the Judy Chicago retrospective.
She has worked on a very diverse set of mediums, such as drawings, paintings, glasses, ceramics, fabrics, smokes, and her messages are quite clear/direct compared to other modern artists’.

The boots in the first drawing look like being made of some hard materials (e.g., wood) so I drew another version (over the previous rough outlines) with softer materials (like leather or cloth).
