Once, I asked a gay friend what it feels like if he is forced to make out with a girl.
His answer: it is like I am forced to make out with a guy.
🙂

If you are a straight guy feeling uncomfortable with gay guys making out (say 2% of all couples you see in your daily life), just imagine how uncomfortable they are with straight couples making out (98% of couples they encounter in their daily lives).

The Jedi recruit those who are good enough.
They learn how to collaborate early on.
They graduate after passing tests, and let go otherwise.
They keep the universe in order most of the time.

The Sith recruits one (and only) who is the best.
He learns how to survive alone.
He graduates by defeating the master, or getting killed otherwise.
He remains low most of the time but eventually eliminates the entire Jedi order and conquers the whole universe.

Birds of a feather flock together.
Our affiliation does reflect our own quality to some degree.

On the other hand, the prestige of institutions is becoming less important due to the internet and social media.
And really top people can transform a not-so-top institution into a top one.

Email address etiquette

It is fine to have creative or personalized email addresses, but use your judgement, e.g. sexybaby@hotmail.com is probably not suitable for professional communications.

If you have multiple email accounts which you cannot check with sufficient frequency, just set automatic forwarding to a single (default) account. You can also setup (e.g. via SMTP) that single default account to reply on behalf of the other aliases.
If you do not intend to use a particular email account, disable or delete it so that people would not expect reply from there.
