Timed flow

I followed another video for the first lesson of the timed model drawing. The quality is not like the one done by Vilppu, but the video made an instrumental point about not thinking about time pressure or completing/perfecting the drawing and instead just flowing with the subject.

This could also apply to other (timed) activities in our lives?

Sketch from Rodin sculptures

It was nice to visit a museum since the covid lockdown last year.
Unlike human models, Rodin’s sculptures remain stationary and thus have been perfect drawing subjects.

Vilppu drawing

I have had some difficulties with the Vilppu drawing manual about depicting dynamic actions instead of just static shapes, as the book shows only final drawings but not the intermediate workflows.
Fortunately, I found some of his online videos so that I can see his drawing sequences and also to practice along with him, without leaving my desk.
