There are already people using ChatGPT as a brainstorming tool (e.g., this).
I plan to try this with interns (starting with those I already worked with so that they won’t think I am crazy or something).
At least it seems to know SIGGRAPH.

Are you familiar with SIGGRAPH, an academic conference for computer graphics?

Yes, I am familiar with SIGGRAPH. It is an annual conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques, which covers a wide range of topics related to computer graphics and interactive techniques. It is organized by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and is typically held in late July or early August each year. SIGGRAPH is a well-known and highly regarded conference in the field of computer graphics, and many researchers and practitioners in the field attend to present and learn about the latest developments in the field.

Cool. What you think would be the most important research topics for SIGGRAPH in the next 3 to 5 years?

I am not able to browse the internet and therefore do not have access to the latest information on current and future research topics in the field of computer graphics. However, based on my general knowledge of the field, I would expect some of the most important research topics for SIGGRAPH in the coming years to include advancements in real-time rendering, virtual and augmented reality, 3D printing, computer vision, and machine learning for graphics. These are all areas that have seen significant recent developments and are likely to continue to be important areas of research in the field.
