I tested it with my prior SIGGRAPH video scripts; the narration could sound like borg occasionally, but in general good enough so that I would pick the synthesized voice instead of mine.
Maybe the act of having someone to dub the video will soon become a SIGGRAPH legacy, among calibrating printers for optimal image quality and sending someone on a trip for physical delivery.
