Why Silicon Valley does not trust guys in suits

Filed under: Real — liyiwei @ 8:13 pm

It is a sign of conformity and misplaced priority.

  1. Although one could easily argue that Silicon Valley has its own dress code, and that only trusting people *not* in suits is actually just as strict a way of enforcing conformity, albeit to a different (hoodie-centric) norm.

    • Interesting article! I bet a larger-scale test will indicate the Bay Area dress code is nearly random. In particular, hoodies (thanks to Zuckerberg) aren’t as common as people think; the weather is simply too warm for that most of the year (except a small part of SF which is perpetually foggy). 🙂
